What We Install In Ajax

New installs, additions and full recabling. This is what each service looks like in an Ajax building.

Data Cabling

Office data cabling

New drops, moves and additions for offices and shop floors. We work around your staff, run each cable to a patch panel and test every drop before it goes live.

Network Cabling

Network cabling

Comms rooms built properly: racks, patch panels, vertical and horizontal cable managers, bonding and a labelling scheme that matches the port map you receive at the end.

Cat6 Cabling

Cat6 details

Cost-effective cable for workstations, phones, printers and fixed cameras. Plenty for a gigabit office, and it carries 10 Gb on shorter runs up to about 55 m.

Cat6A Cabling

Cat6A details

For access points, multi-gig uplinks, PoE lighting and digital signage. In the newer logistics buildings along the 401, Cat6A to every access point is the standard we design to.

Fiber Optic Cabling

Fiber optic cabling

Backbone fiber between comms rooms, up to mezzanine offices and out to the far end of a long warehouse. Single-mode for distance and future speed, multimode where runs are short and the equipment calls for it.

Where We Work In Ajax

Most of Ajax's commercial space sits close to the 401, between the Westney Road and Salem Road interchanges.

South Ajax employment area

Harwood Ave S, Westney Rd S, Commercial Ave, Bayly St

The established industrial area south of the 401. Multi-tenant buildings and freestanding units with front offices. Common work is office recabling, comms closet cleanup and drops out into the warehouse.

Harwood Business Park and Lakeridge Logistics

Kingston Rd E, near Highway 412

Large new logistics buildings, including a 1.2 million sq ft distribution centre on Kingston Road East. Long distances mean fiber to remote IDFs and Cat6A to high-mount access points and cameras.

Carruthers Creek and Audley business areas

Salem Rd N, Kerrison Dr E, Audley Rd

Newer prestige employment buildings north of the 401 that mix office, light manufacturing and warehouse. Usually Cat6 on the office side and Cat6A plus fiber on the warehouse side.

Downtown Ajax and Kingston Road

Harwood Ave, Kingston Rd, Bayly St

Offices, medical suites, retail and civic buildings. Smaller jobs with tight pathways, often for tenants who need the work done after hours.

Recabling An Occupied Office Or Unit In Ajax

A lot of Ajax's commercial space was cabled before every access point and camera needed its own run. Recabling it while people keep working comes down to four things:

  • Phasing. We cut over one area or one rack at a time, after hours, so nobody loses a connection mid-shift.
  • Testing what stays. Existing cable that passes a Fluke DSX test is kept, which keeps the quote down.
  • Removing dead cable. Abandoned runs come out of the ceiling instead of piling up for the next contractor.
  • One port map at the end, so your IT provider knows exactly which jack goes where.

We schedule the noisy and disruptive work around you and confirm it in writing first.

Questions From Ajax Businesses

Yes. We split the job into phases and do the cutovers in the evening or at the weekend, so your team keeps working during the day.

Yes. That means fiber backbone to remote IDFs, Cat6A to high-mount access points and cameras, drops for scanners and dock equipment, and cable tray sized for the full low voltage scope.

Yes. We look after the physical cabling and hand your IT provider tested, labelled ports and a port map. They configure the switches and Wi-Fi on top of it.
