IP Camera Types We Install
Modern commercial CCTV systems are built on IP cameras — network-connected cameras that transmit digital video over Cat6/Cat6A cabling using PoE (Power over Ethernet). This eliminates the need for separate power cables at each camera location, enables flexible placement, and supports resolutions from 2MP up to 4K. We specify the right camera type for each coverage area during the onsite survey.
Fixed Dome & Turret
Low-profile dome and turret cameras for indoor coverage of offices, reception areas, corridors, and retail floors. Vandal-resistant housings available. 2MP to 4K resolution. Motorised varifocal lens options for corridor and long-range coverage.
Bullet & Varifocal
Outdoor-rated bullet cameras for perimeter coverage, parking lots, loading docks, and building exteriors. IP66/IP67 weatherproof rated. Varifocal lenses allow zoom adjustment post-installation without camera replacement. IR night vision up to 60m range.
PTZ Cameras
Pan-tilt-zoom cameras for active monitoring of large areas — warehouses, parking structures, building entrances, and public spaces. Operator-controlled or auto-tracking via motion detection. Up to 36x optical zoom. PoE+ or 24V AC powered depending on model.
4K & Ultra-HD
8MP 4K cameras for maximum detail capture in critical coverage areas — cash handling, server room access, building entrances, and high-value asset zones. 4K footage enables digital zoom on recorded video for forensic detail without additional cameras.

A commercial CCTV installation is more than cameras on a wall. Every system we install includes all of the following components, properly specified, cabled, and configured:
IP Cameras — Hikvision, Bosch & Honeywell
We install IP cameras from Hikvision, Bosch, and Honeywell exclusively. These are the three dominant commercial-grade manufacturers with the strongest track records for image quality, firmware reliability, and long-term parts availability. We do not install generic white-label cameras that cannot be supported, updated, or replaced consistently over the life of the system.
NVR — Network Video Recorder
NVR hardware sized to your camera count, resolution, and required storage retention. 8-channel to 64-channel NVRs available. Storage calculated based on camera count, resolution, recording schedule (continuous vs motion-triggered), and retention period. We configure recording schedules, motion detection zones, and alarm outputs during installation. All NVRs support RAID storage for redundancy where required.
Cat6 / Cat6A PoE Cabling
Dedicated Cat6 or Cat6A cabling run to every camera location, providing both data connectivity and PoE power in a single cable. We do not share camera cabling with office network infrastructure. Each camera run is individually labeled, tested with a Fluke DSX CableAnalyzer, and documented. PoE switches are specified to match total camera power budget with a 20% headroom margin.
Remote Viewing & Mobile App
All NVR systems we install support remote access via iOS and Android apps and web browser. We configure remote viewing, set up user accounts with role-based permissions (admin, operator, viewer), verify remote connectivity on your network, and configure motion detection push notifications to your mobile device. We do not consider installation complete until remote viewing is confirmed working from outside the building network.
Motion Detection & Smart Features
Modern IP cameras support AI-based detection including line crossing, intrusion detection, vehicle detection, and face detection — not just basic pixel-change motion detection. We configure detection zones, sensitivity thresholds, and alarm schedules appropriate for your environment. Smart detection reduces false alarm notifications from trees, shadows, and small animals while reliably detecting actual security events.

We walk your facility with you, identify coverage priorities and blind spots, assess mounting options, measure cable run distances, and confirm PoE switch and NVR placement. We discuss camera resolution requirements and recording retention needs. No charge, no obligation.
Written Proposal & Camera Plan
Itemized quote specifying camera model and quantity, NVR specification and storage capacity, PoE switch specification, cable run count, mounting hardware, and labour. A camera placement diagram shows proposed coverage areas. Fixed price — no change orders for scope visible at survey.
Cabling Installation
Dedicated Cat6 or Cat6A PoE cabling run from PoE switch to each camera mounting location. All cabling concealed in conduit or ceiling void where possible. Each run labeled at both ends and Fluke DSX tested. No shared cabling with existing IT network infrastructure.
Camera & NVR Installation
Cameras mounted, aimed, and secured at designed positions. NVR installed and connected to PoE switch. All cameras registered on NVR and recording confirmed. Camera image quality verified — focus, exposure, IR night vision tested at each location.
Configuration & Remote Access Setup
Recording schedule configured (continuous and/or motion-triggered). Motion detection zones set up per camera. NVR connected to network and remote access configured. iOS and Android apps installed and tested from outside building network. User accounts created with appropriate permissions.
