What We Install

Commercial Paging Systems for Every GTA Facility Type

A paging system is how your facility communicates at scale — overhead announcements, emergency alerts, shift changes, production calls, and staff notifications across a building, campus, or multiple zones. Done properly, it is reliable, intelligible, and invisible to daily operations. Done poorly, it is a source of constant frustration.

Velocity Cabling designs and installs commercial paging systems across Toronto, Mississauga, Brampton, and the full GTA. We work with IP-based paging platforms, traditional analog PA systems, and hybrid configurations that integrate both. Every system is designed for your specific environment — ceiling height, ambient noise level, zone layout, and integration requirements — before a single speaker is ordered.

Paging Systems We Design & Install

Every facility has different paging requirements. We assess your space, ambient noise, zone layout, and integration needs before recommending a system.

IP Network Paging

Modern IP-Based PA

IP paging systems transmit audio over your existing Cat6/Cat6A network using SIP or proprietary protocols. No dedicated speaker wire runs from a central amplifier — each speaker or zone controller has a network port and PoE power. IP systems integrate directly with VoIP phone systems, Microsoft Teams Phone, scheduling systems, and access control. You can initiate a page from any desk phone, softphone, or browser interface.

PowerPoE (IEEE 802.3af/at) via network switch
WiringCat6/Cat6A network drops only
Zone controlPer-endpoint or group-based via software
BrandsAlgo, Valcom, AtlasIED, CyberData
Analog PA Systems

Traditional Amplifier-Based PA

Analog paging systems use a central amplifier that drives multiple ceiling, surface-mount, or horn speakers over dedicated 70V or 100V speaker wire. Simpler to understand and service, analog systems are reliable, cost-effective for smaller facilities, and do not depend on network infrastructure. They are the standard for warehouses, manufacturing plants, parking structures, and outdoor applications where network availability is not guaranteed.

Zone Paging

Multi-Zone Paging Control

Zone paging allows different announcements to reach different areas simultaneously or independently. A warehouse might page only the shipping dock while the office remains uninterrupted. A school might page a single classroom, a grade level, or the entire campus depending on the announcement type. Zone control can be implemented in both IP and analog systems, and can be triggered manually, by schedule, or by integration with access control or fire alarm systems.

Intercom & Entry Paging

Two-Way Intercom Systems

Commercial intercom systems provide two-way communication between a central station and door entry points, reception, or individual rooms. Used at dock doors, reception desks, server rooms, gated entries, and secure areas. IP intercoms integrate with your network and can be answered from any desk phone, softphone, or mobile device. Video intercom adds camera view to the same workflow. We install and configure complete intercom systems for commercial and industrial facilities across the GTA.

Hardware & Speakers

Speaker Types & Mounting Configurations

Choosing the right speaker for your environment is as important as the system behind it. We specify and install speakers matched to your ceiling height, ambient noise level, and aesthetic requirements.

Ceiling Speakers

Flush-mounted in standard grid or drywall ceilings. Ideal for offices, retail, schools, and healthcare. Even sound distribution, aesthetically clean.

Horn Speakers

High-SPL projection speakers for warehouses, manufacturing plants, outdoor areas, and high-ambient-noise environments. Penetrates forklift and machinery noise.

Surface-Mount Speakers

Wall or column mounted where ceiling installation is not possible. Used in stairwells, corridors, dock areas, and concrete ceiling environments.

Pendant & Drop Speakers

Hung from high ceilings in warehouses, gyms, and atriums where ceiling or surface mounting is impractical. Available in directional and wide-dispersion patterns.

Warehouse & Industrial Paging

Paging Systems for Warehouses & Distribution Centres — GTA

Warehouse paging is one of the most demanding paging environments: ambient noise from forklifts, conveyor systems, dock doors, and HVAC can reach 80–90dB. A paging system that is perfectly intelligible in an office will be completely inaudible in a Brampton distribution centre.

We design warehouse paging systems with correct speaker placement for your racking layout, horn speakers rated for the ambient noise level, amplifier capacity for the building square footage, and zone control so shipping can page the dock without interrupting the entire facility. Integration with your intercom, WMS notification, or warehouse management system is available on IP-based systems.

High-SPL Horn Speakers for High-Bay Environments

We specify horn speakers with sufficient dB output to overcome ambient warehouse noise. Speaker positioning accounts for racking height, aisle orientation, and forklift traffic patterns to ensure coverage at ground level where operators work.

Zone Paging by Department or Area

Divide your warehouse into paging zones — shipping dock, receiving, pick area, mezzanine, office — and page each independently or simultaneously. Shift change announcements can be zone-specific. Emergency pages override all zones.

Dock Door Intercom Integration

Two-way intercom at dock doors so drivers can reach dispatch or receiving staff without entering the facility. Integrates with your existing phone system or standalone intercom panel.

Integration with WMS & Scheduling Systems

IP-based paging systems can receive triggers from warehouse management systems for automated announcements — shift start, break time, production targets, inbound shipment alerts. Reduces manual paging workload.

Outdoor & Yard Coverage

Weatherproof horn speakers for truck yard, parking, and perimeter paging. Rated for Ontario climate — temperature-stable, sealed enclosures, UV-resistant hardware.

Why Choose Us

Why GTA Businesses Choose Velocity Cabling for Paging

We design for your environment, not for a catalogue spec sheet. Every system is commissioned before we leave.

System-Agnostic Design

We are not tied to a single brand or platform. We recommend IP, analog, or hybrid based on your facility, budget, and integration requirements — not on which product we have the highest margin on.

VoIP & SIP Integration

Modern IP paging systems tie directly into your SIP-based phone system. We configure integration with Teams Phone, Cisco, hosted PBX, and most major VoIP platforms so you can page from any phone on your network.

Commercial-Only — No Residential

Every paging system we design is for a commercial or industrial environment. We understand ambient noise, zone complexity, and multi-system integration in a way that residential low-voltage contractors do not.

Written Quote Before We Start

Common Questions

Paging System FAQs

Questions from GTA facility managers, IT directors, and operations teams about commercial paging systems.

Talk to an Expert →
What paging systems do you install in Toronto and the GTA?
We install IP-based paging systems (Algo, Valcom, AtlasIED, CyberData) and traditional analog PA systems (Bogen, TOA, Bosch, Atlas Sound). We also install two-way intercom systems, zone paging controllers, and hybrid systems that combine IP and analog components. We serve Toronto, Mississauga, Brampton, Vaughan, Markham, Oakville, and the full GTA.
What is the difference between IP paging and analog paging?
IP paging sends audio over your existing Cat6/Cat6A network using SIP or proprietary protocols. Speakers are network devices powered by PoE — no separate speaker wire runs. IP systems integrate with VoIP phones, Microsoft Teams, and scheduling software. Analog paging uses a central amplifier driving speakers over dedicated speaker wire in a 70V or 100V configuration. Analog systems are simpler, more robust in environments with unreliable network coverage, and often more cost-effective for smaller or fixed installations.
Can you install paging in a warehouse?
Yes. Warehouse paging is one of our most common installations across Brampton, Mississauga, and the GTA. We specify high-SPL horn speakers for high-bay environments, position speakers for aisle and forklift coverage, design zone layouts by department (dock, receiving, pick area), and integrate with dock door intercom systems. We understand ambient noise and design systems that are actually intelligible on the warehouse floor.
Can a paging system integrate with our VoIP or Microsoft Teams phone system?
Yes. IP paging systems with SIP support integrate directly with Microsoft Teams Phone, Cisco, hosted PBX, and most SIP-compatible phone systems. You can initiate a page from any desk phone by dialing a paging extension, or from a softphone or Teams client. Automated paging can be triggered by scheduling software, access control events, or your WMS system.
Do you install paging systems in schools?
Yes. We install multi-zone school intercom and PA systems including classroom call buttons, all-call and zone-selective paging, emergency lockdown broadcast, and bell scheduling integration. We can integrate with existing school bell systems or install a complete replacement.
How much does a commercial paging system cost in Toronto or the GTA?
Cost depends on facility size, number of speakers and zones, system type (IP vs analog), and integration requirements. A small office with 8 ceiling speakers and VoIP integration will cost significantly less than a 50,000 sq ft warehouse with horn speakers, multiple zones, dock door intercom, and WMS integration. We do not quote over the phone — we provide an itemized written proposal after a free site survey.
Can you add paging to an existing building?
Yes. We regularly add paging to buildings with existing infrastructure. For IP systems, we use existing Cat6/Cat6A network drops. For analog systems, we run new speaker wire. In occupied buildings we schedule ceiling work during off-hours to minimize disruption.
